At the Casinos, Blackjack games are the most popular, and we
know why…
- The house doesn’t have the odds fixed to win every time.
When you are playing, the cards that are drawn from the deck are
depleted, making each hand unique because the cards at the deck
vary.
- The rules for Blackjack are easy and few, making the game very
simple to play.
- Is a game of skill, not only luck. You have to know when to hit
or stay.
Blackjack is the game that pays more at Casinos and has a low minimum
betting.
Object Of The Game
The game is quite simple. You have to reach 21 or the closest
card point total, without getting more than 21 points. To beat the
house, you need to have more card points than the dealer. Although
there are many players at the table, Blackjack is an individual game,
you don’t play in group, you play alone, and your main objective
is to beat the house, not reaching 21 card points.
Playing The Game
The player that gets the first card is the one at
the left of the dealer. The dealer starts with the one at his left
and continues to deal one card to each player and one for himself.
(This card is putted with its face up). Once he does that, starts
dealing another card to each of the players and a second one to him
(This time the cards has its face down)
Once every player has two cards, the dealer asks the player at
his left if he wants one more card. This process is made one player
at the time. This is done until each player stands or busts (exceeds
21). When every player is done, the dealer begins to draw cards
for himself. The rules may vay from Casino to Casino, but usually
the Dealer has to Hit if he has less than 16 card points and Stand
if he has 17 card point or more.
Once the dealer has finished his turn and assuming he didn’t
bust, he starts the payout and collects all the loser hands. One
all this is performed, the game starts all over.
Blackjack Rules
Most Casinos play a multi-deck game. When this happens, all cards
are dealt with its faces up and the players can’t touch the
cards or the initial bet. This has to advantages, the game speed increases
and players can’t cheat but changing cards or wages. The first
ones to play are the players, having the option of hitting or standing.
Depending on the initial two cards dealt to them, they also have the
option of split or double down.
The player has to decide what to do depending on the cards he has
and the cards the dealer has. Usually, if the dealer has a card bigger
than seven the player has good chances of winning if he hits between
twelve and sixteen. If the player has seventeen or more, he should
stand, because the chances of busting are high.
When all the players
are done, it’s the dealers turn. He has the same options that
the players has, but he has to play according to the dealer’s
rules. The rules usually state that the dealer has to hit if he
has less than sixteen and stand if he has more than seventeen.
The players have the option of splitting. They can do this if they
have a pair. If he splits, he’s going to play two different
hands with those cards. The right card is the first to be played
and the left one is the last. Usually, on a pair of aces, if you
get a ten is not considered Blackjack. And if the dealer gets a
Blackjack the player loses. You indicate that you want to split
if he puts a bet for the same amount of the initial bet without
touching the cards or the initial bet.
When the player doubles down, indicates that he thinks he can beat
the dealer with only one more card. At this point, the player can
double the initial bet and get his card. Usually Casinos allow players
to Double Down in any hand except the ones that totals twenty one,
but a few limit the Double Down to hands totaling nine, ten or eleven.
One option that some Casinos offer is to Surrender. If the player
thinks his hand cannot beat the dealer he can surrender and the
dealer will take his cards and half the bet, leaving the remaining
bet on the table for the next hand.
Blackjack Betting Rules
The bets are placed before any card is dealt.
The payouts are like this: - If the hand of the player beats the
dealer, the player wins even money, and three to two if he hits
a Blackjack. If the dealer has an ace with its face up, insurance
bets are offered.
If this happens, the dealer will ask if anyone wants an insurance.
If the player choose to do this, he can bet an amount as big as his
initial bet. If the card facing down is a ten, the player will be
paid two to one for his insurance bet. This is totally apart from
your initial bet, the player will have to beat the dealer to win the
initial bet.
